After "raining season" in April nice flyable weather is finally on the way to Slovenia. At the right time we may say, because this weekend we are organising SOČA OPEN VALLEY paragliding cross country competition (currently we have around 100 registered pilots, 50 confirmed). So, first weasther reports are very promising! We would like to invite in the campsite and our paragliding center (CAMP GABRJE) also non-competition pilots. Shuttles and buses to the take-offs will be available directly from the campsite!
The route for the very first X-Pyr paraglide and hike race across the Pyrenees has been revealed. The start, goal and seven waypoints along the 438km route can be downloaded from the X-Pyr website now.
The twenty teams that will participate will set off on the route on 5 August 2012, and have a maximum of twelve days to complete it in, moving for up to 17 hours each day.
