Niviuk presented their new EN C paraglider, the Artik 3, at the Coupe Icare festival in September. They say it has exceptional passive safety and the performance of an EN D wing.

The Artik 3 has a slightly higher aspect ratio of 5.9 and a new three-line layout, giving an 11% reduction in line useage and improving efficiency over its predecessor.

Niviuk say the wing is agile, light and predictable in all conditions of flight, with “impeccable” behaviour in turbulence.

The Artik 3 is certified EN C in five sizes, 21, 23, 25, 27 and 29m for pilots from 50 to 130kg. The glider itself weighs from 5.2 to 6.3kg, depending on the size.

From November, a special thin-lined racing version of the Artik 3 will also be available, also certified EN C.
