12- days organized trip with flying above Balkan regions,
which offers us amazing thermal and cross country flying potential!
Tolmin (Slovenia), Niška banja (Serbia), Kruševo and Ohrid (Macedonia).
21th July- 1st August 2010
PROGRAM DAY 1-3
We will start the tour in Tolmin region. The valley of the emerald river Soca has amazing cross-country possibilites and its frequently chosen location for various flying competition, also those of the highest level. More about our guiding in Slovenia you can read HERE.
DAY 4 -7
In the morning we will departure from Slovenia and driving through Croatia to our next destination on the tour - Niška banja in Serbia. Niška banja (Sičevo) is also well-know destination, some highest level competition in the past were organized here, including World Cup and European Championship. Depending on the weather conditions we will determine the direction of the flight - the most often route is to the east towards Bulgaria. In the case of the south wind, we will fly to the city called Zaječar in the north,. With help of the north wind we should fly to the south to the city called Leskovar, fameous for their traditional Serbian barbecue food. For more inexperienced pilots there is more suitable take off above Niška banja, which offers ridge soaring till evening in case of the most usual NW winds. After flying we recommend some resting in the "Balkan" spa, from where the city got its name ("banja" means spa), or going to the streets of city Niš looking for the best deal of food and parties.

We will go to Macedonia where we can find exceptional landscape - just calling for the long cross country flights. We will sleep in a pleasant mountain town (the highest in Macedonia) called Krusevo. The city has a really nice antique architecture, cultural attractions and more likely there is the most visited grave in Macedonia - singer Tose Proeski. From Krusevo to the take off in only a few minutes, and from there just a few to the cloudbase above Prilep . In Macedonia, among other surprises you will be surprised by prices of beverages and food - its even cheaper than in Serbia :)...
TRIP TO OHRID
One of those 4 days in Macedonia we will organise trip to the famous Ohrid lake. If the weather is suitable we will make nice panoramic flight with amazing view above the lake. However, we will also enjoy the beach, visit the city and the culinary specialties from Ohrid.
DAY 11
Driving back to Slovenia.

* The accomodation in Niska banja and Krusevo are low-budget, which gives us much better price and suits the most of our clients. We cover accomodations up to 10 EUR per night. If you want to sleep anywhere else, it is necessary to pay the extra cost.

The participant needs a license for paragliding pilots, insurance policy and travel documents. Wearing a helmet, a VHF radio, mobile phone and carrying a rescue glider are obligatory. Flying is at your own risk!
