PARAGLIDING WINTER CUP is the name of a competition in south Slovenia, where conditions allows us to have paragliding competitions even in the winter time with disciplines up to 100km!.
There will be 4 main events (+ 1 reserve event) in Nova Gorica and Ajdovscina this year, exact location will be selected day before the event due to the weather forecast. This year we are organizing also OLC competition during all the winter, you can compete in both disciplines or just in one.

ENTRY FEE70 EUR 50 EUR for all EVENTS in season 0910! If you want to compete just single day or event - 20 EUR per day.
THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE FOR OLC PARAGLIDING WINTER CUP COMPETITION! Transport to the take off and retrieval in entire valley 10 EUR!
PRIZES800 EUR in practical awards for TOP 3 daily, TOP 3 event (open and serial class), TOP 10 overall
RULESPARAGLIDING WINTER CUP 1. All the events will be official FAI-2 competitions. 2. Overall ranking - all the tasks will be counted this year, no discards will be used. 3. We will compete acording to FAI rules (section 7 )and rules for PARAGLIDING WINTER CUP.
OLC PARAGLIDING WINTER CUP 1. OLC free flying competition: 1.11.09-6.3.2010 2. All flights with take-offs in Europe will be counted, the flights must be published to SLOVENIAN OLC. 3. The flights on selected days (check COMPETITION CALENDAR above) from take-offs LIJAK and KOVK will be multiply by 2. 4. Five best scored flights will be counted for the final result of each competitor (the best one each month). 5. There is no need to sign in for the competition.
The competitors need a license for paragliding pilots, they also need a FAI licence (not neccesary for OLC competition). Wearing a helmet, a VHF radio and carrying a rescue glider are obligatory, a celullar phone is strongly advised. Flying is at your own risk!
